DESIGN JUNKIES
Kate was selected as one of six designers to compete on the debut television series ‘Design Junkies’, which broadcast on New Zealand’s national channel TVNZ 1 in May - June 2018. Six designers and artists were selected and put to the test over six episodes. Design Junkies celebrated New Zealanders' love of DIY, innovation, and up-cycling; challenging the designers to transform junk into treasure under extreme time pressure and constraints. The debut show’s success in audience ratings saw it return for a second season the following year.
