Creative Bio
Kate graduated from Massey University Wellington in 2010 with a Bachelor of Design (Hons) majoring in Industrial Design, and subsequently from the University of Canterbury in 2011 with a Masters in Engineering Management (MEM), in which she explored the role that design and innovation play in business.
Kate's Industrial Design experience includes designing bespoke aircraft interior furniture such as Business Class bar units and seats for international airlines, working alongside Boeing on new aircraft interior development programmes, and furniture design and buying for a major manufacturer and wholesaler in Vancouver, Canada. She has worked extensively for new and existing businesses throughout New Zealand to create strong and unique brand identities, websites and collateral.
Kate undertakes branding and graphic design for new and existing businesses, and artwork commissions for private clients, primarily working with acrylic and canvas. Kate exhibits her work locally, and produces commissions for both local and international clients.
